Hi there! I’m 『Yukidaruma』, the admin of this site!My goal is to build the “World’s Best Blue Lock Site,” and I’m pouring my absolute “Ego” into every single article I write!!
I mainly cover the latest chapters, volumes, deep-dive theories, character profiles, and detailed reviews—and I’ve already crossed the 300-article milestone!!
Thanks to Blue Lock, a true “Ego” has awakened inside my heart!! I’ll do my absolute best to share the greatness of this masterpiece with all of you! ❄️⚽
① The Story So Far
The Blue Lock Project has finally entered its third phase: The all-new “U-20 World Cup Arc” is officially underway!!
The U-20 World Cup is a global tournament where only players under the age of 20 can compete. Representing Japan are the 23 Egoists who survived the brutal second phase, the “Neo-Egoist League”!!
This tournament also features the international rivals of the same generation who fought alongside and against them in the Neo-Egoist League. This means our favorite players will now face their former allies as ultimate rivals on the world stage?!
★ And now, cut to the present day. 👉 A mysterious man named Teddy Knight suddenly appears before the Japan National Team (the Blue Lock Eleven) while they are hard at work training for the upcoming high-stakes match against England!?
🔄 The Changing of the Guard for the “New Generation World 11”
Nijiro Nanase seemed to recognize Teddy Knight, mentioning that he was “recently chosen as one of the New Generation World 11.” Reading between the lines, this means he has just replaced a previous member of the NG11 lineup.
Does the “New Generation World 11” roster cycle out at fixed intervals?
Or do they swap out the exact moment a player’s world-class skills are officially recognized?
While the exact details haven’t been fully revealed yet, the NG11 is strictly a “U-20 (Under 20)” designation. Naturally, as players age out, they will be removed from the list. Time is steadily moving forward within the world of Blue Lock, so it’s highly possible that a previous NG11 member has aged out and been dropped from the ranks.

Come to think of it, ever since the U-20 World Cup started, Don Lorenzo hasn’t been drawn a single time for some reason… Did he actually age out and get dropped? (◎_◎;)
Julian Loki also seems to have been newly selected for the NG11 from this tournament, so we might just be right in the middle of a massive transitional period for the generation!

⚡ A Dribbler with a Unique Rhythm
Since simply dribbling past the Japan National Team (Blue Lock Eleven) defenders wasn’t enough to make them admit defeat, Teddy Knight shows off his skills by putting his dribbling on display against Nijiro Nanase and Jingo Raichi as well! His dribbling apparently possesses a highly unique rhythm, making it incredibly difficult for anyone to read.

As usual, he plays football without cracking a single expression (; ・`д・´) I seriously want to see someone force some raw “Ego” out of this completely emotionless Teddy Knight!
👑 The Double Aces Take the Stage
Having finished their mental concentration (yoga), Rin Itoshi and Yoichi Isagi finally regroup with the rest of the team! The double aces step up together to handle Teddy Knight, who has been running rampant on the pitch!

Man, their entrance scene was so hype! I don’t know if it’s thanks to the yoga, but both of them seem remarkably centered, calm, and locked in!

👹 A Savage Egoist
Teddy Knight brilliantly evades the linked plays between Rin Itoshi and Yoichi Isagi. Suddenly, Rin tries to grab Teddy by his jersey and forcefully throw him down?! But Teddy avoids even that by spinning his body elegantly in mid-air! “How savage… you egoists.”

Can anyone really spin that cleanly in mid-air?! His body balance is insane—he’s practically a dancer (゜o゜)Wait… speaking of a dancer, what about Jin Kiyora?! Could this be a massive foreshadowing for him to step into the spotlight and break out?!
🛡️ Dying to Bring His Homeland the Championship
Using Rin Itoshi’s foul play to his advantage, Yoichi Isagi forcefully steals the ball. Recognizing Yoichi’s presence, Teddy Knight abruptly introduces himself before heading home for the day. “I am merely a puppet dying to bring my homeland (England) the World Cup championship.”“See you tomorrow.”

He really is a true ‘Knight’ through and through! Since he feels absolutely no emotion, psychological warfare won’t work on him at all. This is going to be a pure battle of raw, unfiltered technique, which makes him an incredibly troublesome opponent to deal with…

🃏 Just a Bluff?
Even though the players of the Japan National Team (Blue Lock Eleven) couldn’t stop Teddy Knight even when ganging up on him, Oliver Aiku seems to view it differently. In his eyes, it looks like “England is getting so desperate that they had to resort to a surprise attack just to pull off a bluff.”

Hmm, is that really the case though? (◎_◎;) Sure, they couldn’t react at first because it was a sudden ambush. But when Isagi and Rin stepped up, they fought him head-on and STILL “could only stop him with a foul”… Isn’t everyone being a bit too optimistic here? (_;
📉 Yoichi Isagi’s Reason for the Defeat
“Because we mistakenly thought Blue Lock was the strongest and the center of the world.” The massive global hype of the Neo Egoist League, the overwhelming victory in their opening match… With all these factors stacking up, they had let the success get to their heads and lost their footing. This seems to be how Yoichi Isagi views the core reason behind their defeat against France.

It’s true that Blue Lock was drawing massive global attention during the Neo Egoist League. They were definitely the center of attention, but that didn’t mean they actually possessed the raw caliber of a “championship favorite” just yet… (_;

🐎 The Super Dark Horse (Supernatural Heretics Football Squad)
They are not the center of the world. Born from a crazy facility called “Blue Lock” hidden away in a far corner of the globe, they have evolved through an abnormal, raging “Heat (Ego)”—they are the world-devouring “Super Dark Horse” (Supernatural Heretics Football Squad). Each of them carries a different “dream” and looks in a completely different direction. Yet, their final destination is exactly the same: To become the “World’s Number One” in their respective paths.

“The world’s best striker,” “the world’s best dribbler,” “the world’s best passer”—their specific goals are all different, but they share a core common ground. They are all aiming to be the “World’s Best [Blank]”! It feels like the Japan National Team (Blue Lock Eleven) players, who were previously drifting apart due to growing mutual distrust, have finally grounded themselves and realigned their spirits as one! ③ Wrap-up & Final Thoughts
This chapter was all about “Misconceptions.”
To sum it all up, here are the key takeaways ↓↓↓
Teddy Knight is willing to die for the championship.
They weren’t yet at the caliber of a “championship favorite.”
The world-devouring “Super Dark Horse.”
①Teddy Knight is Willing to Die for the Championship → Teddy Knight was running rampant in the Japan National Team’s training room, but the deadly combination play of Rin Itoshi and Yoichi Isagi successfully forced him to pipe down. However, Teddy described himself as “merely a puppet dying to bring his homeland the championship.”
What these words imply is that he possesses a state of absolute invincibility—completely devoid of any shred of fear—acting like a sacrificial pawn that will throw its body on the line without a single moment of hesitation, no matter what happens. He will likely choose high-risk plays that put himself in jeopardy without batting an eye. Both technically and psychologically, you rarely come across a player this incredibly eerie…
② Not Yet at the Caliber of a “Championship Favorite” → Due to all the global spotlight flooding into Blue Lock, the Japan National Team (Blue Lock Eleven) had unconsciously fallen into the delusion that “they were already strong enough to realistically aim for the top of the world.”
While the teachings of Blue Lock have certainly elevated them to a level where they can compete on the world stage, their actual experience is still incredibly shallow. The gap between them and the top-tier countries that have been battling on the global stage for years remains massive. Driven by the explosive success of the Neo Egoist League and their status as the World Cup host country, the public was quick to label Japan as a “championship favorite,” but the team is simply not at that level yet.
③The World-Devouring “Super Dark Horse” → Just as Jinpachi Ego taught them, fighting with the absolute belief that “we are the best in the world” is vital—but they must never forget their true current standing: “they are not the world’s best yet.” Each of them is still a hungry challenger on their way to claiming their own individual versions of being the number one in the world.
It doesn’t matter if everyone looks toward a completely different goal. The only thing that matters is that each and every one of them possesses the roaring “Ego” to challenge the world!
The players who were just drifting apart due to mutual distrust have finally realigned their focus toward the exact same direction! The whole atmosphere feels like they’ve been liberated from a heavy weight… Could it be that they’ve finally broken free from the literal chains of “Blue Lock” itself?!
