In “Blue Lock,” 300 high school forwards gathered from all over Japan are placed in a facility called “Blue Lock” to conduct an experiment to create the world’s greatest striker.
Here, various ruthless trials take place. Those who fail to keep up with the tests or are defeated in battle are treated as “eliminated” and permanently lose the right to ever play for the Japan National Team.
The players are truly taking on a high-stakes, life-or-death survival where they risk their entire football careers!

During the “Entrance Test” to get into Blue Lock, a shocking 25 players were eliminated right off the bat!

The first selection involved creating 5 teams in each of the 5 stratum buildings, playing a round-robin league tournament.

As of the conclusion of the Neo Egoist League (NEL), the total number of eliminated players stands at a staggering 287. Currently, there are only 23 survivors left, and this selected roster will be the one to take on the U-20 World Cup!
In my personal prediction, “there won’t be any more eliminations from this point on,” and the world’s greatest striker will ultimately be born from among these final 23 players!!
However, if they no longer have to worry about the threat of being dropped, some players might lose their edge or sense of urgency. So, I am incredibly curious to see how they will keep their motivation sky-high! Knowing Ego-san, he might just come up with a completely different, twisted kind of punishment for them…
I really hope the author draws the future of the eliminated players someday!! Will they truly lose the right to play for the Japan National Team forever?
