◆ Introduction

Hi there! I’m 『Yukidaruma』, the admin of this site! My goal is to build the “World’s Best Blue Lock Site,” and I’m pouring my absolute “Ego” into every single article I write!!

I mainly cover the latest chapters, volumes, deep-dive theories, character profiles, and detailed reviews—and I’ve already crossed the 300-article milestone!!

Thanks to Blue Lock, a true “Ego” has awakened inside my heart!! I’ll do my absolute best to share the greatness of this masterpiece with all of you! ❄️⚽

① One of the “New Generation World 11”

The “New Generation World 11” (NG11) refers to the 11 elite young players (U-20) selected by PIFA (the International Federation of Football Association) in the world of Blue Lock.

While not all players have been revealed yet, Teddy Knight has been selected as one of these NG11 members! With Teddy Knight’s appearance, the number of “New Generation World 11” members revealed so far has now reached seven!

Simply put, he is an incredible prodigy who has been chosen as one of the top 11 U-20 players in the entire world!

② Top 3 Mysteries of “Teddy Knight”

Although we still don’t know much about Teddy Knight, here are the three intriguing mysteries that stand out at this point!

There are so many things to wonder about, but I’ve carefully selected the top three for you!

▼ His Self-Deprecating “Trash and Lame Player” Remark

When Teddy Knight first appeared, he greeted the Japan National Team (Blue Lock Eleven) players by saying: “My name is Teddy Knight, a trash and lame player from England.”

Calling himself a “trash and lame player” feels heavily self-deprecating, yet his expression was looking straight ahead as he said it! Putting himself down like this might remind you of Aoshi Tokimitsu. However, in Teddy Knight’s case, the way he says it makes you wonder, “Does he actually mean that?” It’s completely hard to tell his true intentions…

What is this feeling… It’s like he has zero emotion, as if he’s just reading straight from a script (;^ω^). It almost feels like he doesn’t even understand the meaning of his own words!

▼ A Sudden Switch?

Despite appearing completely emotionless, Teddy Knight’s movements suddenly shift while his expression remains entirely blank! He unexpectedly blasts the ball at Meguru Bachira and suddenly starts dribbling past three of the Japan National Team’s defenders… His actions make it seem as though he is programmed to move under certain conditions. Who on earth is managing him?

He mentioned that he “came here because Fox told him to,” so could this person named “Fox” be the one giving Teddy Knight his commands!?

▼ A Doll

“I am a doll.” Teddy Knight refers to himself as a “doll” (puppet), and it appears he doesn’t possess an “ego” at all. If that’s the case, what exactly is Teddy Knight playing football for?

Ah, so the “lack of emotion” wasn’t meant to resemble a robot, but rather a “doll”!? That makes so much sense! If that’s the case, his complete lack of emotion is totally understandable!

③ The Origin of His Name (Theory)

I predict that the name “Teddy Knight” is a combination of “Teddy” and “Knight” (as in a knight).

He is highly likely modeled after a “teddy bear” (stuffed bear), which perfectly aligns with him being a “stuffed animal = doll.”

And as for “Knight,” while it evokes the image of an armored warrior, it also carries meanings like “serving a lord” and “loyalty.” I think this points directly to how Teddy Knight acts as if he is moving solely under someone else’s commands!

In short, he’s like a “cute-looking knight doll”! When you overlay this with Teddy Knight’s words and actions, it fits his image perfectly!

④ First Appearance

[Blue Lock] … Volume 40, Chapter 352: “Trash Puppet”

Source: 【Blue Lock】Chapter 352 (Story by Muneyuki Kaneshiro, Art by Yusuke Nomura / Kodansha) — Cited for review purposes.

After all, his very first line upon appearing was, “Could you do me a favor and lose the next match?” right? He looks ordinary, but his words definitely had a massive impact! (;^ω^)

⑤ Position

“WG” (Winger)

Since his profile during his first appearance stated “England WG,” his position as a winger seems completely confirmed!

However, whether he plays on the right or the left hasn’t been revealed yet. Since it looked like a fated rivalry might spark with Meguru Bachira, is there a high possibility he is a “RWG” (Right Winger)?

Bachira often plays positions like “LSH” (Left Side Half), so I have a feeling they will make Teddy Knight a “RWG” just to force them into an intense 1-on-1 match-up!

⑥ Jersey Number

  • U-20 World Cup (England National Team): ???

His jersey number hasn’t been revealed yet, but if he’s a master dribbler, numbers like “8” or “9” might be highly likely!

⑦ Voice Actor (VA)

Unknown

Since it will probably be a long time before this part gets animated, his voice actor hasn’t been announced yet (_ _)

⑧ Volume Cover

Teddy Knight has not featured on a manga volume cover yet.

However, since we can expect him to be a major character, the possibility of him appearing on a cover in the future is very high!

Personally, I have a feeling he might grace the cover of the upcoming Volume 40!

⑨ Club Team

〈 ??? 〉

The club team Teddy Knight belongs to hasn’t been revealed yet.

Since he didn’t make an appearance during the Neo Egoist League (NEL) Arc, it is assumed that he is not a player for Manshine City, the club that participated from England.

Then again, there’s a slight chance he actually is a Manshine City player who just didn’t participate back then. After all, Bunny Iglesias belongs to FC Barcha but didn’t take part in the Neo Egoist League either! (‘ω’)ノ

⑩ (Theory) Image Theme

Have you guys ever noticed? Certain characters in Blue Lock have a specific “image theme” modeled after them, which is expressed as “something that perfectly embodies that character’s unique traits”! From here, I would love to introduce Teddy Knight’s image theme!

…Is what I would like to say, but unfortunately, Teddy Knight’s “image theme” has not been revealed yet.

⑪ Weapons (Abilities)

While information is still limited, let’s take a look into Teddy Knight’s weapons!

▼ Dribbling

An extraordinary “dribbling” ability that allowed him to effortlessly blow past three regular defenders of the Japan National Team (Blue Lock Eleven)—Oliver Aiku, Jyubei Aryu, and Ikki Niko.

The specific characteristics of his dribbling haven’t been revealed yet, but since Jyubei Aryu exclaimed, “Fast!?”, there is no doubt that it is a high-caliber dribble that combines both top-tier technique and overwhelming speed!
